Auburn Basketball Lands 2025 Forward
Auburn secured a major addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of forward Sebastian Williams-Adams. The Houston native, ranked No. 40 overall and No. 10 among power forwards in the 2025 class, announced his decision live on the 247Sports YouTube channel. Williams-Adams chose Auburn over Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, and Purdue, while also visiting Kansas, Texas A&M, and SMU during his recruitment process. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound standout is set to join the Tigers.
Speaking about his official visit, Williams-Adams expressed admiration for Auburn’s program. “Auburn has a history,” he noted. “Coach Pearl emphasized their tradition of developing big guards and forwards. It felt more like a family than just a recruiting trip, with Coach Pearl personally connecting with us.” He also appreciated Pearl’s consistent encouragement since the Top 100 Camp, stating, “Having a coach believe in me and my potential is refreshing and exciting.”
Williams-Adams becomes the third player in Auburn’s 2025 class, joining four-star shooting guard Simon Walker and four-star combo guard Kaden Magwood, both of whom committed and signed earlier this week. The additions signal a significant roster overhaul for the Tigers, with only Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard currently retaining eligibility for the following season.
During the summer EYBL circuit, Williams-Adams showcased his skills, averaging 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Reflecting on his love for playing in high-energy environments, he said, “I always joke that my high school feels like the SEC on a high school level. I enjoy entertaining crowds and playing in front of passionate fans.”
Auburn is still pursuing five-star wing Shon Abaev to round out its 2025 high school recruiting efforts before shifting focus to the transfer portal.
