Good News: Hugh Freeze Wins Another Commitment Of 5-Star WR Over Alabama, LSU And FSU

Auburn WR Commit Reflects on Memorable Official Visit

Wide receiver , an Auburn commit for the 2025 class, finally made his official visit to campus after a delay caused by Hurricane Helene. Originally planned for the Oklahoma game, Turner’s visit last weekend turned into an unforgettable experience.

From his arrival on Friday to his departure on Sunday, Turner was captivated by the atmosphere at Auburn.

“The whole weekend felt like a movie,” he said. “Being on the field, rushing the field, surfing on top of the bleachers—it’s an environment you can’t describe. You just had to be there. It was a once-in-a-lifetime situation that will go down in Auburn history, and I was part of it. If you look at the video, I’m the first one hopping on the field.”

Turner, who flipped his commitment from Georgia Tech to Auburn in October, was the second wide receiver to join the Tigers’ 2025 class. Over the weekend, he spent significant time bonding with other commits, which strengthened his decision.

“I’ve never experienced anything like that,” Turner said. “It was great because a lot of commits were there. We bonded outside of football, which made me feel even better about my commitment. We were all just living in the moment—it was fun.”

Turner is fully aligned with head coach Hugh Freeze’s vision for Auburn’s future.

“Coach Freeze is preaching that we can compete for a national championship with these next few classes, and we believe that wholeheartedly,” Turner said. “That belief brings us together, and we’re ready to make an instant impact.”

During his visit, Turner observed the Tigers’ offensive preparation, led by offensive coordinator Derrick Nix, and witnessed true freshman wide receiver Cam Coleman’s impressive performance.

“It was incredible,” Turner said. “We were in the film room with Coach Nix, and they’re running the same plays I’ll run. To see it executed to perfection was something else. I focused on the small details so I can do the same when I get here.”

Turner is eager to join Auburn, with plans to arrive on December 15 following the Iron Bowl. Although he might attend Georgia’s game against Georgia Tech, he assured Auburn fans of his commitment.

“I’m locked in,” he said. “War damn eagle.”
