Official Auburn News: Just In Another Top Talented 5-Star OL Decommits From Auburn Tiger Football Team

Florida Gators Flip Auburn OL Commit

The Florida Gators secured their 10th commitment in just 19 days by flipping offensive lineman Tavaris Dice from Auburn on Saturday.

Dice, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia, had been committed to Auburn since March. However, he remained in contact with the Gators, visiting Gainesville multiple times during that period. Florida’s coaching staff prioritized recruiting Dice since the spring, ultimately winning him over after his recent visit for the LSU game.

Dice becomes the third offensive lineman to join Florida’s 2025 recruiting class, alongside Daniel Pierre Louis and Jahari Medlock, both of whom committed in late November. His versatility on the offensive line is a major asset—he has experience playing all five positions but is expected to start as a tackle for the Gators. Additionally, Dice is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in basketball at Langston Hughes High School.

Florida’s recent recruiting surge includes commitments from notable players such as Tramell Jones, Stephon Shivers, Muizz Tounkara, Bryon Louis, Ty Jackson, and Jayden Woods. The Gators’ 2025 recruiting class now stands at 21 members.

With Dice in the fold, Florida’s attention shifts to pursuing Solomon Thomas, currently committed to Florida State, as they aim to strengthen their offensive line depth further.
