Scottie Barnes, the Toronto Raptors’ star power forward, has received a positive update. Since spraining his ankle against the New York Knicks, the 2024 All-Star has been sidelined. With just three games played between them this season, Bruce Brown and Immanuel Quickley are also slowly making a comeback. The Raptors are presently 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 7-19 record.
Michael Grange, a Sportsnet reporter for the Toronto Raptors, claims that Barnes worked out today. Although a return date has not been announced, it is obvious that this setback will not prevent him from returning for very long. Bruce Brown, meanwhile, is listed as day-to-day after finishing a full practice on Sunday. Quickley, who hasn’t been cleared to practise due to a left elbow ailment, was exercising his left arm.
Although they haven’t played together much in 2024, the Toronto Raptors have a fascinating young core. The team anticipated that Immanuel Quickley, who had just signed a five-year, $175 million contract, would advance in his career. Sadly, Quickley has only participated in three games this season, so that hasn’t happened yet. Immanuel has averaged 15.3 points and four assists in those contests.RJ Barrett, the other player from the original Anunoby deal, has advanced and is now ranked among the league’s top shooting guards. The local native is averaging a career-high 23.2 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.0 assists per game at the age of 24. In terms of blocks and thefts, Barrett is also reaching career highs. The other notable players thus far this year have been Gradey Dick and Jakob Poeltl.
