The Green Bay Packers’ NFC Wild Card round draw with their opponent couldn’t have been worse.
In an attempt to replicate their run to the NFC Divisional Playoffs last season, the Packers will travel to Lincoln Financial Field to play the 14-win and NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles after losing to them in Brazil in the regular season opener.
But even though head coach Matt LaFleur started the Packers against the Chicago Bears in Week 18 in an attempt to avoid having to travel to the City of Brotherly Love in the first round to play the Eagles, A.J. Brown, and Saquon Barkley, Green Bay lost heartbreakingly to their bitter rivals 27–25. Christian Watson, a wide receiver with the Packers, also suffered an ACL tear.
