Breaking News: Winnipeg Blue Bombers Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Super Star

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have secured the services of Canadian linebacker Tanner Cadwallader for an additional two years, as the club recently announced the agreement on a contract extension. Cadwallader, who was set to become a free agent in February, will continue to be a part of the Blue Bombers’ roster.

Standing at 5-11 and weighing 214 pounds, Cadwallader, a Wilfrid Laurier alum born on June 24, 1997, in Georgetown, ON, will be entering his fourth Canadian Football League (CFL) season, all of which have been with the Blue Bombers.

Originally drafted in the seventh round, 64th overall, in the 2020 CFL Draft, Cadwallader has evolved into one of the team’s key contributors on special teams. Over his three seasons with the Blue Bombers, he has showcased his versatility by playing in every game. His stat line includes 38 special teams tackles, with 16 of them recorded in the 2023 season. Additionally, he has tallied four defensive tackles and forced one fumble during his time with the team.

This contract extension reflects the team’s confidence in Cadwallader’s abilities and his significant contributions, particularly on special teams, making him a valuable asset for the Blue Bombers as they continue to build their roster for the upcoming CFL seasons.
