Breaking News: Just In Auburn confirm the signing of Thompson super star

Kaleb Harris, a 3-star safety hailing from Thompson in Alabaster, Alabama, has formally sealed the deal with Auburn, as stated in an announcement released by the program on Wednesday afternoon.

Auburn’s recent recruitment strategy emphasized a significant influx of defensive backs, with four DBs confirming their commitment to Auburn just before National Signing Day. Initially pledging allegiance to Auburn on October 23, Harris made his decision two days following a robust recruiting weekend coinciding with the Ole Miss football game.

Playing alongside Harris in the defensive backfield, Thompson competed in the 2023 Alabama Class 7A state championship game, ultimately falling short against Cam Coleman, an Auburn recruit, and his Central team from Phenix City.

MaxPreps reports an astounding 125 total tackles credited to Harris across 12 games in his role as a safety. Additionally, he marked three interceptions in the most recent season and has accumulated a total of eight interceptions throughout his high school career.

Despite his ranking as the 38th overall safety and the 24th best player in Alabama, Harris brings forth a substantial level of productivity and expertise garnered from being part of one of Alabama’s premier high school programs, attributes that will be valuable upon his arrival at Auburn.

Joining Harris in Auburn’s commitment list for defensive backs on the brink of signing day are notable names: four-star cornerback Amon Lane-Ganus, 3-star defensive back Jalyn Crawford, and Laquan Robinson, identified as the top-rated junior college safety in the 2024 class.
