Bills’ Josh Allen reacts to surprisingly tight win over ‘dangerous’ Chargers

The Bills’ victory over the Chargers wasn’t pretty, but it was a victory – and that’s all that counts for Josh Allen. Although the Buffalo Bills are not the powerhouse many expected, they are still in contention for a postseason spot after a critical win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

After overcoming a poor start on offense, the Bills prevailed 24-22. As expected, Josh Allen outperformed Easton Stick, as the Chargers leaned heavily on Cameron Dicker’s leg, who hit three range goals from at least 40 yards out and a 53-yarder. Following the team’s bye week, Buffalo’s offense pulled through in the end to make it three straight wins.

Allen completed 15 of 21 throws for 237 yards, scored three touchdowns, threw an interception, and led the Bills on a long drive late in the game to put them ahead. He once again surpassed 40 total touchdowns on the season, the fourth time in his career.

According to Joe Reedy of the Associated Press, the game was closer than it should have been, but for Allen, the only thing that mattered is that he won.

“It’s difficult because playing a team with nothing to lose is a dangerous team.” “We gutted it out and found a way,” Allen told AP. “These are our playoffs. It didn’t matter how we did it, just that we did it.”

One ongoing concern for the Bills revolves around Stefon Diggs, who has been limited to fewer than 30 yards in three games since the change in offensive coordinators. In their recent game, he managed just five receptions for 29 yards. Although the team has secured victories, they’ll require greater contributions from Diggs, especially in crucial games. As they approach the end of the regular season, they might find themselves in must-win scenarios where his performance becomes pivotal.

Despite their imperfections, the Bills hold a 9-6 record and remain competitive for the AFC East title, while also having a solid chance at clinching a wild-card spot. A win against the New England Patriots in the upcoming game could position them to contend for the division crown in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins.
