Chambliss assumed a significant role in Georgia’s defense as the JACK linebacker following Nolan Smith’s season-ending injury during the 2022 Florida game. Adapting to this position took time, but the Carrollton, Georgia native’s confidence increased, and his performance showed steady improvement as the 2022 season progressed. He notably secured a sack against LSU in the 2022 SEC Championship Game and contributed four tackles in the 2022 College Football Playoff. Across the 2022 season, Chambliss totaled 12 tackles and 2 sacks.

Despite not registering a sack in 2023, he accumulated 20 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 interception. Chambliss primarily operated in a role focused on standard downs, responsible for setting the edge and creating opportunities for other defenders to make plays against ball carriers.
