Titans QB Will Levis Doesn’t Practice, Headlines Wednesday Injury Report
NASHVILLE — Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis didn’t practice on Wednesday, but jhe expressed optimism in his chances of playing when he spoke to media before the training session. Levis suffered a right foot injury after getting sacked during the second quarter of last week’s 26-3 loss against the Houston Texans. He got dragged off the field and didn’t return to the fight. He was one of 10 Titans on the injury report listed by the team on Wednesday. Levis is also struggling with a past injury to his left ankle. During his weekly news conference, Levis informed reporters that he’s working hard with trainers to heal from both ailments. “I’m not limping around too much, so I feel pretty good,” Levis remarked. “(Trainers) have a bunch of rehab stuff I am able to do with the ankle and the foot; they are different, obviously. I am just doing what they instruct me to do.”

Titans coach Mike Vrabel says veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill would get the start if Levis can’t go. Levis has 1,808 passing yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions, with a passer rating of 84.2 in nine starts. Wide receiver Colton Dowell (knee), cornerback Eric Garror (illness/knee), defensive back Anthony Kendall (knee), and defensive lineman TK McLendon (shoulder) all didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. Guard Daniel Brunskill (ankle), tackle Jaelyn Duncan (neck), wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (NIR-Rest), outside linebacker Caleb Murphy (shoulder), cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (hip), and tight end Kevin Rader (hip) were limited in practice. Linebacker Otis Reese (groin) was a full participant. The Titans will practice on Thursday and Friday with a walkthrough on Saturday before Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. The game starts at Noon ET.
