Due to starting positions shared by Jimmy Garoppolo, Aidan O’Connell, and Brian Hoyer, the quarterbacks for the Las Vegas Raiders have had a difficult season. This summer, the team’s main priority are to find a new head coach and general manager, but acquiring a quarterback is equally crucial.
The Raiders may try to solve the issue in the draft, but since they’ll probably need to move up to get one of the best quarterbacks, they may try to find a temporary fix in free agency. Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, will probably be cut after the season.Wilson’s contract expires in five years, thus a move is very unlikely.
It’s conceivable that teams will be able to sign him for a far less fee if he is released outright.
The Raiders would benefit from Wilson’s performance, even though he hasn’t played as brilliantly as he once did since moving to Denver. This season, Wilson has thrown 26 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. The Raiders are one of the favorites to sign the nine-time Pro Bowler this offseason, per Bovada.
