Stroud was picked by the organization with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and was considered to be a potential franchise quarterback for the Texans, but no one imagined him guiding the team to the NFL playoffs in his first season with the team.
The Texans entered into the season as a rebuilding club with some potential building stones in Stroud and fellow rookie defensive end Will Anderson Jr., and now the squad has a chance to put on a show in the postseason.

Unfortunately for the Texans, Houston has its fair share of ailments to cope with, as there were quite a few important names on the team’s injury list ahead of the postseason matchup with the Cleveland Browns ahead of Wild Card Weekend, as published by the team on Twitter.
Coming into this postseason duel with the Browns, the Texans will be small underdogs on their home turf of NRG Stadium in Houston.

However, with a player like Stroud at center, anything is possible heading into this postseason game, as he can be that much of a game-changer, even against a strong defense lead by likely NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. As long as this Texans team isn’t too beat up, Houston should give the Browns a run for their money as they try to pull off the upset and progress to the next round.
