Auburn secures TE’s commitment Davidson Hollis
A second tight end is acquired by Ben Aigamaua for his 2025 class.
Tight end Hollis Davidson has committed to Auburn following his visit during Junior Day.
The 6-foot-5, 238-pound native of Georgia is committment number eight for Auburn in the cycle and number two for tight end Ben Aigamaua. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings place Davidson as the No. 369 athlete, No. 21 tight end, and No. 42 player from Georgia.
Davidson returned to Auburn on Saturday after attending a game there in the autumn. On his mother’s side, all his grandparents and great-grandparents attended Auburn and received their degrees from there.
“It was amazing, man. After Junior Day, Davidson remarked, “The facilities down here are amazing, and the weather was great—it was cool outside.” “I got to be here with Ryan (Ghea), one of my boys, and he’s committed here. Everyone was expressing love.” The day was enjoyable for me. Coach Logan Bradley and Coach Ben Aigamaua were among those displaying a great deal of love, and it was quite remarkable.
Davidson is the second member of what is expected to be a three-man class at tight end in the 2025 recruiting cycle, with Auburn expected to lose three tight ends to graduation after the 2024 campaign.
Davidson’s early pledge was made possible by Aigamaua’s unwavering recruiting efforts, even in the face of competition from Miami, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Cincinnati. So was Logan Bradley, the assistant coach for tight ends.
“They’re excellent. “I adore Ben’s dedication to his family,” Davidson remarked. He gets along well with my family and wants to take me under his wing if I come here. I met Coach Logan today, and he seems pretty amazing. He was showing me around the place.
Prior to becoming a coach at Notre Dame, Davidson’s aunt was an All-American volleyball player for the Nittany Lions, and his father was a Penn State volleyball player.
Davidson caught 30 passes for 436 yards and three touchdowns as a junior for McIntosh.
