Breaking News: Baltimore Ravens confirm the departure of another experienced Man

Ravens assistant coach Keith Williams has officially confirmed his departure to take on the role of wide receivers coach with the New Orleans Saints. Williams, who initially joined the Ravens in 2021 as a pass game specialist and later became their assistant wide receivers coach in 2023, went through an interview process with the Saints’ staff last week. In an Instagram post announcing the move, he expressed enthusiasm with the words, “LET’S WORK !!”

During Williams’ tenure with the Ravens, working alongside first-year wide receivers coach Greg Lewis, three Ravens receivers – rookie Zay Flowers and veterans Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman – were ranked among the top 60 wideouts in the NFL last season according to ESPN’s receiver tracking metrics. Notably, Flowers set the Ravens’ single-season rookie records for receiving yardage (858) and catches (77).

Known for his talkative and energetic presence on the practice fields, Williams had established strong relationships with his receivers in Baltimore. Upon hearing the news, Bateman expressed his emotions on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a tearful emoji and the words, “but damn.”

Lewis, who had praised Williams in November for his coaching style, highlighted their like-minded approach to coaching and their focus on the details of receiver play. Lewis noted that working with Williams, who had previously coached All-Pro wide receivers Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill, was “awesome” and described the experience as refreshing. He emphasized the mutual learning and assistance between them and their collective impact on the team.

Williams’ departure marks a significant change in the Ravens’ offensive staff for the current offseason, with notable departures already occurring on the defensive side, including coordinator Mike Macdonald, defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson, and associate head coach and defensive line coach Anthony Weaver.
