D.J. Carton Secures a 10-Day Deal with Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors have officially brought on board D.J. Carton, the guard from Iowa Wolves, by signing him to a 10-day contract. Hailing from Bettendorf, Iowa, this marks Carton’s inaugural NBA contract.
Carton boasts an impressive record this season, having started in 29 games for Iowa, with an average performance of 18.6 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game.
His standout performance came in Iowa’s last game before the all-star break on Feb. 13, where he set a career-high with 38 points on 13-of-21 shooting, inclusive of 4-of-8 successful three-pointers. Additionally, he contributed eight assists and three steals in the victory over Rip City Remix.
Having accumulated experience over three G League seasons with Iowa and the Greensboro Swarm, Carton has participated in a total of 102 career games, maintaining averages of 14.0 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game.
