Breaking News: Top Talented High School Star Name Tennessee Volunteers As His Preferred Destination And Announce Official Visit Date

Edge rusher Damien Shanklin of Warren Central High School is a relatively unknown recruit for Tennessee, but he already has an official visit scheduled.

Early in November, the Vols made Shanklin an offer. Since then, they have been forming a strong bond and have emerged as one of his top contenders. This summer, Shanklin has scheduled three formal visits, one of which is with Tennessee.

He will spend June 13–16 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also has scheduled official visits with the Texas Longhorns and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is the No. 2 prospect in the state of Indiana and the 163rd prospect in the 2025 class, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Tennessee is still in the running for the scholarship, despite the Fighting Irish and head coach Marcus Freeman doing a great job of setting the tone in this recruiting class. The Vols’ progress will be greatly aided by this official visit. In his junior year, Shanklin recorded 66 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and three sacks.
