Latest Raiders News: Just In Las Vegas Raiders confirm The Departure Of Another Top Experienced Star

Josh Jacobs Agrees To Deal With Packers, According To Raiders News
With great expectations for making some significant additions to steer this legendary team in the right path under new head coach Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders entered NFL free agency.

What the Raiders’ standout running back Josh Jacobs’ immediate future held was one of the biggest unanswered questions going into free agency. In contrast to the previous campaign, the Raiders decided not to franchise tag Jacobs, allowing him to exercise his right to free agency, which he did.

Sadly for Las Vegas, Jacobs’ NFL playing career will go on to another place. He agreed to a deal with the Green Bay Packers immediately after the formal tampering period began on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

It is obvious that the Raiders did not prioritize re-signing Jacobs or a deal would have been reached, but it is intriguing that he will be reunited with Jordan Love in Green Bay, where he will share the backfield with Aaron Jones, a longstanding starter. The Packers may currently have the best backfield in football if their dynamic combo performs as planned. It will be interesting to see how they play together.

Regarding the Raiders, they will probably start Zamir White, a second-year running back, going forward. Ameer Abdullah, a veteran who would likely be the backup and split carries with the inexperienced running back in Las Vegas, just reached an agreement with the organization.

Although White and Abdullah are already part of the Raiders, it is possible that the team will want to add veteran running backs like Derrick Henry or former Charger Austin Ekeler to strengthen the backfield. The Raiders may be able to jump in and sign one of these two veterans at a reduced price, however it is unclear what these two veterans are asking for in free agency.

The Raiders just agreed to re-sign center Andre James to a three-year agreement and made a big statement in free agency with the arrival of former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, in addition to letting Jacobs depart.

Christian Wilkins, a DT, Signs a Huge Long-Term Contract With The Raiders
With the signing of Christian Wilkins, a former defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins, the Raiders appear to be prioritizing strengthening their defense in NFL free agency.

Tyree Wilson, Maxx Crosby, and Wilkins together form a formidable defensive line that might be much better than it was the previous year.
