On Wednesday, the Browns expanded their receiving group by acquiring wide receiver Jerry Jeudy through a deal with the Broncos.

The Browns have agreed to trade Jeudy to the Broncos in return for a 2024 fifth-round pick (from the Panthers via QB Baker Mayfield) and a 2024 sixth-round pick (from Houston via QB Deshaun Watson).

“I had heard that the Browns were interested in me even two years ago,” Jeudy stated. It’s thrilling to hear it and to be here right now. It seems unreal. The crew has truly made me feel comfortable and like I am desired. I believe I will mesh well with the Browns’ excellent receiving group, which already included players like Elijah Moore and Amari Cooper. Since I was a little child, I’ve actually been basing my game after Amari, and we grew close while I was a student at Alabama. I’m eager to find out what lies ahead.”

After being selected with the 15th overall choice in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jeudy played four seasons for the Broncos. With 44 starts, he played in 57 games and hauled in 211 receptions for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns. With six touchdowns, 972 receiving yards, and 67 receptions in the 2022 campaign, Jeudy set career highs. He played in 16 games the previous season, hauling in 54 receptions for 758 receiving yards and two scores.

Along with playing in 42 games throughout his time at Alabama, he amassed 159 receptions for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns, earning him the title of 2018 Biletnikoff Award winner (best wide receiver in the country).

Jeudy now joins a Cleveland wide receiver corps that includes young stars David Bell and Cedric Tillman in addition to Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. He gives quarterback Deshaun Watson an additional option in the passing game, which helps spread the defense and relieve pressure on Cooper.

Starting with the second round of the 2024 draft, the Browns will have five picks total.
