Wide receiver Koy Moore accesses the transfer portal and a transfer linebacker responds to his visit to Auburn in today’s Auburn Tigers News.

Koy Moore, a former wide receiver for Auburn and LSU football, has officially registered on the transfer site. Moore, a graduate transfer, will be eligible for his next school for one more year. Prior to moving to Auburn in front of the 2022 season, Moore played two seasons of collegiate football with the Bayou Bengals after starting his career at LSU.

Moore is primarily known for his botched punt error in the fourth quarter of the previous year’s Iron Bowl. Moore had 20 receptions for 314 yards and one touchdown in his debut season on the Plains, but he was cut from the starting lineup in 2023.

Due to an injury, he was limited in this year’s spring practice. He is now the second wide receiver for the Tigers to sign with a USC commitment, after Jay Fair.
Transfer linebacker’s response to visiting Auburn

Former South Alabama linebacker Khalil Jacobs made his formal visit to the Plains earlier this week. During his two years with the Jaguars, he recorded 56 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and three forced fumbles in 2023, which was his breakout season.

This weekend, Jacobs will visit Missouri and Alabama before making his ultimate selection, but for now, the Tigers are leaving a lasting impression on the linebacker.

Jacobs reportedly responded, “Really just the environment, the people, they love you,” according to Auburn Rivals. “They will help you feel comfortable. I’m attempting to get there because my coach, DJ Durkin, really sold me on how many guys he’s helped into the league. Take a chance on him and come see what Auburn is all about if I want to be great. I adore this place; it’s fantastic.”
