Patriots Sign Rookie Free Agent WR JaQuae Jackson; Release WR T.J. Luther
The New England Patriots have signed rookie free agent wide receiver JaQuae Jackson and released first-year wide receiver T.J. Luther.
JaQuae Jackson, 24, was initially signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent from Rutgers on April 30, 2024.
Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 184 pounds, Jackson was released by the Falcons on June 4, 2024. Last season, he played in 13 games with 12 starts at California (Pa.), finishing second on the team with 361 yards on 22 receptions and one touchdown.
T.J. Luther, also 24, was originally signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent from Gardner-Webb on May 5, 2023. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound receiver spent most of his rookie season on the Patriots’ practice squad after being released by the Jets. He played three seasons at Wofford before transferring to Gardner-Webb for his final season in 2022.
