After bringing in yet another excellent set of players, Kalen DeBoer and his staff at Alabama Football continued their successful recruiting weekend. To start the weekend, the Tide signed punter Alex Asparuhov as a commitment, and they also made a good impact on a number other recruits. London Simmons, a defensive tackle, has another commitment for the Tide going into the weekend.
The three-star prospect from Mississippi is rated as the 60th best defensive tackle in the class and the 15th best player from the state.
It is understandable why Kalen DeBoer and his team rank so well on Simmons, even though London Simmons may have poor ranks. With Simmons joining Antonio Coleman at defensive tackle, the Tide now have two commits at the position.
After spending last weekend’s offensive and defensive line camp with the team, Simmons saw the Tide come late for an official visit this weekend. With Simmons and the Tide, the attention has obviously increased over the last few weekends, and the Tide are now continuing their run of strong recruiting weekends.
Clearly, The Tide are doing something right.
The Alabama Football team has outperformed all other programs this summer in terms of recruiting success. The Tide currently own the sixth-ranked recruiting class in the country after landing six commitments this summer, including three from the top 100.
No school has come close to duplicating what Kalen DeBoer has accomplished this summer, as the Tide have been obtaining commitments at an incredible rate. When the Tide hired Kalen DeBoer, their main worry was how he would handle recruiting. However, as of right now, the Tide appear to be serious candidates to have one of the top three recruiting classes in the country.
