Steve Cooper has admitted that his Nottingham Forest side could’ve been better in the final third during yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
The Reds had multiple key chances that could’ve seen them clinch a rare away victory in the Premier League.
Morgan Gibbs-White hit the post in the first half, with Anthony Elanga’s poor first touch letting him down for a one-on-one with Sam Johnstone.
Cooper’s side had the best of the chances, but the Welshman admitted that he’s still looking at the positives.
Cooper on improving in the final third
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Reds boss Cooper was happy with the performance despite not claiming all three points at Selhurst Park.
“We’ve definitely created the best chances of the game so if we take those couple of chances in the first half anything could happen.
“We know we certainly had a spell where we were on top but we also had spells where we had to defend as a team – because he had a spell of giving away possession.
“But I have to look at the positive of keeping a clean sheet away from home in the Premier League. Last season showed us how hard they are to come by – so we should take the positives.
“However, on another day, we could’ve and should’ve scored a couple of goals.”
