The 6-foot-3, 255-pound prospect from Montgomery is rated as an 85 overall by 247 Sports, ranking 142nd among defensive linemen and 56th in Alabama. Johnson chose the Bulldogs over offers from West Virginia and East Carolina.

**3-Star Safety Lo’Kavion Jackson Commits to Mississippi State**

Adding to their secondary, Mississippi State secured a commitment from 6-foot, 197-pound safety Lo’Kavion Jackson from Lynn Haven, Florida. Jackson, rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals, is the fourth defensive back to join the 2025 class. He selected Mississippi State over Miami and West Virginia.

**JUCO Edge Rusher Kevonte Henry Commits to Mississippi State**

The most notable recent addition is JUCO edge rusher Kevonte Henry from Cerritos College in California. Originally a 4-star prospect out of high school, Henry started his career at Oklahoma before transferring to Cerritos, where he recorded 43 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2023. Rated as an 87 overall and 3-star transfer prospect by On3, Henry chose Mississippi State over Oregon State and Utah State.
