**Four-Star OL Douglas Utu Commits to Tennessee**
Tennessee secured another key commitment for their offensive line on Monday afternoon, landing Douglas Utu from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Utu announced his decision via X.
The four-star recruit, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 317 pounds, can play both inside and outside positions at the next level. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Utu is the 67th overall prospect in the country, the second-ranked interior offensive lineman, and the second-ranked prospect in Nevada.
Utu has been a four-year starter at Bishop Gorman, playing both tackle and guard. He is known for his powerful finishing, size, and quickness, making him a potential fit for right tackle.
He received offers and took official visits to Alabama, Washington, Michigan, and Nebraska, with additional offers from Florida, USC, Michigan State, UCLA, Ole Miss, and Auburn. However, after his official visit to Tennessee last weekend, Utu decided to commit to the Volunteers.
Tennessee is set to have at least three starting spots open on the offensive line next season (Cooper Mays, Javontez Spraggins, and John Campbell), providing Utu with an opportunity for early playing time.
Utu joins four-star offensive lineman Nic Moore and Antoni Kade Ogumoro in Tennessee’s class, bringing their total commitments to 14. With this addition, the Volunteers have moved up to No. 12 in the 2025 class rankings, according to 247Sports.
