Zephen Walker, a safety from Lewisville, Texas, was signed by Oregon State on Thursday, beating out Coastal Carolina and Arkansas State in the recruiting process.
Walker recently returned from an official visit to Corvallis, where he had a great time on campus.
“It went great, loved the environment and the people” Walker stated to BeaverBlitz. “The coaching staff and the players embraced me like I was already apart of their family and I loved that” .
In his junior year, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back recorded 50 tackles and two interceptions in his debut defensive back campaign.
While being welcomed by Noble Thomas and Zakaih Saez, Walker tells BeaverBlitz that “hanging out with the current players at Oregon State had to be the highlight of my visit.”
“It was fun, they remind me of myself in ways” .
Walker is the second Texan commit in the class of 2025, following teammate DB David Madison. On the defensive end of the ball, Walker joins Jesse Myers, Jeremiah Ioane, and Sean Craig.
