Texas Longhorns Add Another 5-Star Talent to Their 2025 Recruiting Class
The Texas Longhorns have strengthened their offensive line with the addition of Five-star interior offensive lineman John Mills from the 2025 class.
This month, Texas has been busy hosting 2025 recruits for official visits, with several already committing to head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff. On Monday night, they secured another commitment from Mills, who is the 12th recruit in the 2025 class.
According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Mills confirmed his commitment to Texas, stating, “Made it home, SEC get ready.”
Mills, a standout player from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, stands 6’6” and weighs 320 pounds. He made an official visit to Texas during the weekend of June 14, following visits to Nebraska, Cal, Washington, and Florida. He also had offers from schools like Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, USC, and Utah, among others.
Ranked as the 38th offensive tackle and 40th overall player in the 2025 class by 247Sports, Mills joins a Texas recruiting class that already includes notable four-star talents such as defensive lineman Lance Jackson, linebacker Elijah Barnes, quarterback KJ Lacey, running back James Simon, and tight end Emaree Winston. Offensive linemen Devin and Jordan Coleman have also committed to the Longhorns.
The Longhorns are now focusing on adding top five-star prospects like receivers Dakorien Moore, Kaliq Lockett, Jaime Ffrench, and offensive tackle Michael Fasusi to complete their class.
