Good news: Just In Another top experienced star sign with Toronto Raptors

Tylor Perry of Spiro was not selected in the 2024 NBA Draft, so on Friday he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Toronto Raptors.

Perry will be able to play for the Raptors in the summer league, which takes place in Las Vegas from July 12–22, and maybe for the G League club after that. The deal is for a one-year, minimum-salary NBA contract.

During his final year of college, Perry led the Kansas State Wildcats to 19 victories and the National Invitational Tournament with an average of 15.3 points and 4.4 assists per game.

Perry played two seasons at North Texas before transferring, and he was earned honorable mention All-Big 12.

Following his team’s 31-7 record and NIT triumph, Perry was named Conference USA’s Most Valuable Player and the NIT MVP at North Texas.
Perry also spent two seasons as a player at Kansas’ Coffeyville Community College, where he helped the Red Ravens win 53 games in two seasons and the NJCAA National Championship in 2021. The NJCAA tournament Most Valuable Player award went to him.

Perry finished his senior year at Spiro, where he led the Bulldogs to the Class 3A semifinals and was named an All-State player after scoring 25 points a night on average. In a victory over Tahlequah Seqouyah in the state tournament quarterfinals, he scored 37 points. With 17 points in the championship game against Talihina, he defeated them 65–53 to win the LeFlore County Tournament MVP award.

Growing up in Fort Coffee, which is near Spiro, Perry relocated to northwest Arkansas after completing his fifth grade year, where he played for Springdale Har-Ber for three seasons. In 14 conference games during his junior year, including 27 against Rogers, he scored 280 points more than any other player in the 7A-West. During his sophomore season, he scored 225 points, which included 26 versus Bentonville, to rank third in the conference. Perry scored 622 points in 42 7A-West games during his career and was twice named to the All-State team.
