Good News: Top Talented 4-Star Decommits from LSU,Commits To FSU Football

Four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine has decommitted from LSU and is now focusing on Florida State University (FSU) as a potential destination. Antoine originally committed to LSU in January, shortly after receiving an offer from FSU. He took an official visit to FSU in May, and the trip significantly boosted FSU’s chances despite their late involvement in his recruitment.

Antoine announced his decommitment from LSU on Sunday, with FSU, LSU, and Miami Hurricanes now being his top three choices. During his visit to Tallahassee, Antoine was impressed by head coach Mike Norvell’s honest and realistic approach, noting that Norvell emphasized the challenges and tough times ahead rather than just telling him what he wanted to hear.

At 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Antoine had an impressive sophomore season at Westgate High School, excelling as both a quarterback and cornerback. He recorded 32 tackles, five interceptions, and 11 pass breakups on defense, while completing 105 of 186 passes for 1,650 yards and 12 touchdowns, and running for 303 yards on offense.

Ranked as the No. 63 player nationally, the No. 6 cornerback, and the No. 2 prospect from Louisiana according to On3’s industry ranking, Antoine is now a highly sought-after recruit. FSU is expected to intensify their efforts to secure his commitment.
