In the NBA, the New York Knicks have possibly had the best offseason. The Knicks have done it all: they acquired Mikal Bridges in a blockbuster trade, re-signed OG Anunoby, and forced Jalen Brunson to accept a significant price cut in exchange for an extension.
There is always room for improvement, though, just like with other clubs in the league that are in contention. Lonnie Walker, a former player for the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers, is one of three players on veteran minimum contracts who Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report identified as potentially helping them do that.
Lonnie Walker IV had previously seemed to be on his way to receiving a sizable wage increase, but it looks like he will fall short once more. The Knicks ought to attempt taking advantage of this apparently uninteresting market. It could seem very alluring to be able to run a prove-it campaign in the bright lights of New York City and pursue the championship at the same time.
He is a lightning-fast scorer with incredible enthusiasm and athleticism. On July 8, Ian Begley of SNY claimed that the Knicks had called the Utah Jazz regarding Walker Kessler, suggesting that they are considering a backup five.

Walker may still be a candidate for a trade, but with the roster as it stands, the Knicks may be able to get more players rather than another guard. Their guard room is a little full because on July 15th, they also signed guard Cameron Payne to a one-year, $3.1 million contract.
How Walker Might Assist the Knicks
The New York Knicks may have the greatest squad in the NBA if they were to sign Walker and locate a backup center. Walker is a player that a club hoping to win a championship might use off the bench to get meaningful minutes.
Walker is a perfect fit for the Knicks because he can score points off the bench and make 3-pointers. In addition, head coach Tom Thibodeau appreciates how hard he plays and how good of a defender he is.
His athleticism is a standout quality in his game, and he would mesh well with the Knicks’ energetic players, like as Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.
Although the team has more pressing needs, the 25-year-old would be a fantastic acquisition on a veteran minimum contract and might have an impact.
