Breaking: Chet Holmgren Takes Shot At Miami Heat Fans, Echoes Criticism That Jimmy Butler Has…

**Chet Holmgren Criticizes Miami Heat Fans, Echoes Jimmy Butler’s Sentiments**

Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren has joined the chorus of criticism regarding Miami Heat fans, suggesting they are not the most enthusiastic in the NBA.

In a recent interview, Holmgren mentioned that he enjoys playing against the Heat at Miami’s Kaseya Center because it feels “empty,” making it easier for the visiting team due to the less hostile environment.

“I like Miami because it’s just like empty. As the away team, you just need to build that lead in the first three quarters, and then it stays quiet for the fourth,” Holmgren said on the Road Trippin’ Show.

Holmgren’s comments align with the observation that Heat fans often arrive late to games. Even franchise star Jimmy Butler echoed this sentiment in an interview earlier this year.

Butler stated, “The worst part, to me, is our fans never show up on time. They never show up on time. I was like, ‘Damn, I want it to be rocking from the jump ball. Fans, come on, we need y’all.'”

Holmgren has only played in Miami once, on January 10, 2024. Given that the NBA season can experience a lull leading up to the All-Star break, Holmgren’s assessment of the fanbase might not reflect their usual energy.

However, Holmgren’s perspective comes from playing in Oklahoma City, which is widely regarded as having one of the best crowds in basketball. During his rookie season with the Thunder, delayed by injury, Holmgren averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game.

Following Holmgren’s remarks, it’s likely that the atmosphere will be more intense when the Heat host the Thunder next season.
