Carlo Pellegatti, a journalist, has shared his thoughts on the players that AC Milan could try to buy in the January transfer window.
During an interview with Radio Rossonera, Pellegatti was asked about which players the Rossoneri could recruit in January, given that money is available if the proper possibilities occur.
Matteo Ruggeri of Atalanta has been linked as a possible replacement for Theo Hernandez at left-back.
Pellegatti believes he would be a good addition for a certain price, but has suggested another name in case Ruggeri proves to be more expensive than planned.
“I read about Ruggeri of Atalanta for the left wing. It’s one thing if the cost is €8 million. If it’s between €18 and €20 million… Then there’s Miranda, who may be a good addition,” he continued.
Pellegatti also explained why Milan did not sign Porto attacker Mehdi Taremi during the January transfer window, citing registration rules and Inter’s interest.
“On Taremi, I told you no because he would lose his Portuguese EU passport next year, and you can’t take him if he leaves in January.” It’s feasible in June, but I read that Inter is also engaged. “Hopefully, there will be no emergencies, but Milan is well-positioned,” he remarked.
Taremi almost joined Milan on deadline day last summer, but the deal fell through at the last minute, resulting in the arrival of Luka Jovic.
