Breaking News: Cleveland Browns Confirm Injury Of Another Top Talented Player

Running back Nick Chubb of the Browns is still recovering from the injury that ended his 2023 season.

The four-time Pro Bowler’s knee, which he injured in 2015 at Georgia, sustained an MCL tear and an ACL tear in the second week of the previous season.

His situation going into the 2024 season is uncertain as a result, but general manager Andrew Berry provided a positive update on the seventh-year running back on Monday at a press conference.
Though Chubb is presently on Cleveland’s PUP (physically unable to perform) list, reports from training camp indicate that he has been practicing off to the side, running sprints.
Chubb’s return date has not been announced by the Browns, and Berry has verified that it also won’t be altering anytime soon.

Berry said, “We’ll deal with it day by day.”

Nevertheless, Chubb has recovered from a similar injury previously and has gone on to establish himself as one of the NFL’s top running backs, posting four seasons in a row with 1,000 rushing yards (2019–22).

The 28-year-old might find it more challenging to return as the same player this time, but if extra time will enable him to get near, the wait will be worthwhile.

Chubb entered the league in 2018 as the 35th overall choice, and since then, he has amassed 6,511 yards (5.3 yards per run) and 48 touchdowns via the air.

Cleveland’s backfield will be led in the meantime by running backs D’Onta Foreman and Jerome Ford, who combined for 1,238 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023.
