Sad News: Atlanta Braves Confirm Injury Of Another Top Experienced Star

Reynaldo López, the starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves 2024 All-Star team, had a scary scare on Sunday against the New York Mets. Atlanta prevailed 9–2, but López’s departure—he was complaining of soreness in his forearm—was not ideal. A significant update was sent to the Braves pitcher on Monday by Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Justin Toscano.
“Reynaldo Lopez had a clear MRI. He lives day to day. He is not even on the IL according to the Braves. The Braves wouldn’t even shut him down, according to Brian Snitker, Toscano stated on X, the previous Twitter platform.
It should go without saying that Atlanta really values this injury news. Star players like starting pitcher Spencer Strider and outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. are already gone from the Braves. For the team, losing López for any length of time would have been disastrous.
Reynaldo López’s outstanding Braves season in 2024
In his 19 starts this 2024 season, the seasoned starter had an impressive 2.06 ERA. In addition, he has 104.2 innings pitched and 102 strikeouts.

Since 2016, López, 30, has pitched for Major League Baseball. He has experience as a reliever and a starter. While he had experienced several solid seasons, 2024 has been by far López’s best year overall to date.
With all of the ball club’s ailments, he has been instrumental in keeping the Braves afloat. While it remains unlikely that the Braves will catch up to the Phillies in the National League East, Atlanta ought to be able to secure an NL Wild Card position at the very least.
Naturally, the Braves’ chances of making the postseason will only improve if players like López are healthy for the final stretch. Assuming nothing goes wrong with his injuries, Reynaldo Lopez seems to be fine.

We’ll keep an eye on him and send out updates as soon as they become available.
