This week, the Miami Dolphins are prioritizing experience over youth as training camp progresses in early August. On Saturday, the Dolphins announced the release of undrafted rookie Ireland Brown to make room for a veteran offensive lineman who previously played with the Dallas Cowboys.

Earlier this week, the Dolphins cut undrafted free agent defensive tackle Mario Kendricks and filled the vacancy by signing veteran wide receiver Willie Snead IV.

According to the Dolphins, they released offensive lineman Ireland Brown on Saturday. Brown had joined Miami as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2024. He spent four seasons at Rutgers (2020-23), appearing in 33 games. Initially playing as a defensive tackle in his sophomore year, where he recorded three tackles in five games, Brown transitioned to the offensive line for the remainder of his college career. He played 28 games with 17 starts—11 at center and six at left guard.
