Official RollTide News: Just In Another Highly Rated Four-Star Superstar SEC OL Officially Commits To Bama Football After Rejecting LSU And Auburn Tigers

**Elite Four-Star OT Ty Haywood Commits to Alabama**

Alabama has continued its impressive recruiting streak by securing a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood from Denton, Texas. Haywood, who ranks as the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2025 Rivals250 and the No. 5 offensive tackle, has chosen the Crimson Tide over numerous other offers, including those from Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, and Florida State. He had 32 total offers throughout his recruitment.

Haywood visited Alabama officially from May 31 to June 2 this summer, and it became clear that Alabama was the frontrunner. His commitment marks the fifth offensive lineman Alabama has added to their class, significantly strengthening their offensive line prospects.

In addition to Haywood, Alabama’s 2025 class includes four-star recruits Jackson Lloyd, Mal Waldrep, and Micah DeBose. Haywood was also influenced by Keelon Russell, a standout quarterback and leader of the class, who praised the offensive line’s potential. Russell commented, “The offensive line group is looking amazing. It feels like we’re building a line that will dominate for years to come. I’m excited to work with these guys and keep adding top talent.”

With Haywood’s commitment, Alabama is now ranked No. 2 in the 2025 Recruiting Team Rankings, narrowing the gap with Ohio State, who currently holds a slim lead. Alabama’s class consists of 22 total commitments, including 19 four-star recruits, and is poised to potentially add more top-tier talent as the recruiting cycle progresses.
