**Oscar Klefbom Announces Retirement from Professional Hockey**
Oscar Klefbom, the former defenseman for the Edmonton Oilers, has officially retired from professional hockey, ending a career marked by both impressive achievements and significant injury struggles. The Swedish defenseman, once considered a cornerstone of the Oilers’ blue line, has decided to step away from the game after dealing with persistent injuries that kept him off the ice for the past few seasons.
While Klefbom’s retirement was anticipated by many, it marks the end of what might have been an outstanding NHL career. Drafted 19th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Klefbom was viewed as a high-potential defenseman with excellent size, skating, and hockey sense.
