**Eagles Claim TE  Off Waivers**

Armani Rogers is joining a new team in the NFC East. On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles announced they have claimed Rogers off waivers after he was released by the Washington Commanders earlier this week.

The 26-year-old tight end is making a comeback from a torn Achilles, which he sustained early in last year’s training camp.

Rogers, a rookie from Ohio University, played 11 games with the Commanders in 2022, including three starts. During his debut season, he recorded five receptions for 64 yards and added two rushing attempts for 26 yards.

In response to bringing Rogers on board, the Eagles have waived wide receiver Shaq Davis to make room on the roster. This move marks a significant step for Rogers as he works to return to full health and contribute to his new team.
