In related news, the Chicago Sky have officially waived guard Kysre Gondrezick, a former top-five WNBA Draft pick and standout from West Virginia University. The team announced this on Friday.

Gondrezick, who returned to the WNBA this season after a break, appeared in five games for the Sky, averaging 1.0 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per game in just over three minutes of playtime per game.

Originally drafted as the No. 4 overall pick by the Indiana Fever in 2021, Gondrezick played 19 games with Indiana that season. She joined the Chicago Sky on a training camp contract in February.

In her senior year at West Virginia, Gondrezick averaged 19.5 points per game, making her the highest-drafted player in the program’s history.
