Done Deal: Just In Teresa Weatherspoon Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Talented Star

The Chicago Sky declared Lindsay Allen, a guard, a new member. The terms of the deal were not revealed in accordance with team policy.

New York selected Allen with the 14th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 WNBA Draft. In her debut season, she appeared in 28 games for the Liberty, averaging 1.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

The 5’8” guard then missed the 2019 season due to injury and played two seasons with Las Vegas in 2018 and 2020. In addition to playing in a career-high 32 games for Indiana in 2021, Allen averaged 5.4 points and 3.0 assists in 17.8 minutes per game while playing for the Fever.

In 20 games as a starting point guard for Minnesota last season, the former player of Notre Dame averaged 6.2 points, a career-high 4.5 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 24.1 minutes.

She is presently a foreign player for Botasspor Adana in Turkey. This season, she has averaged 14.7 points, 8.0 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 15 Turkish League games. Allen was a member of the Melbourne Boomers in 2018–20 and again in 2021–2022. She finished the season on the All-WNBL Second Team, won WNBL Finals MVP, and assisted Melbourne in winning the WNBL in 2022.
Additionally, Allen played for Russian teams Nika Syktyvkar in 2020–21 and Dynamo Moscow in 2017–18.

During her 149 career collegiate games, she averaged 8.9 points and 5.6 assists while playing for Notre Dame from 2013 to 2017. Allen finished her stint at Notre Dame with the most career and consecutive starts (149) in school history, as well as the record for the most assists (841).

 

In addition to receiving numerous additional awards and recognitions, Allen was named an AP All-American Third Team member (2017), an ACC Tournament MVP (2017), a three-time finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award (2015–17), and an All-ACC First Team member (2016–17).
