The Raiders have reduced their quarterback count to four, waiving Anthony Brown on Friday. This move comes shortly after the team signed Nathan Peterman earlier in the week, briefly bringing their quarterback roster up to five.
Brown, who joined the Raiders on a future contract in January, initially entered the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
During his rookie season, he made one start and appeared in relief in another game. Over those appearances, Brown completed 22 of 49 passes for 302 yards but also threw two interceptions.
In the current quarterback lineup for the Raiders, Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew are vying for the starting position. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Carter Bradley and Nathan Peterman remain on the lower end of the depth chart, following Brown’s departure.
