Good News: Pat Riley Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Star To Two-Way Contract

The Miami HEAT have signed guard Josh Christopher to a Two-Way Contract, though the specific terms were not revealed due to club policy.

Christopher was named the MVP of the 2024 Summer League Championship Game, where he played a key role in securing Miami’s title in Las Vegas. He participated in all six games, starting in four, and posted impressive averages: 19.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.8 assists, and 25.9 minutes per game. His shooting percentages were outstanding, with 54.1% from the field, 52.5% from three-point range, and a flawless 15-for-15 from the free-throw line. Christopher reached double figures in scoring in five of the games, including four 20-point performances, highlighted by a 20-point fourth quarter on July 15 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He finished the NBA2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas with a +68 plus/minus rating.

Originally selected by the Houston Rockets as the 24th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Christopher spent the previous season in the G League, splitting his time between the Salt Lake City Stars and the HEAT’s affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In 18 regular season games with the Skyforce, he averaged 15.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.39 steals, and 27.4 minutes per game, shooting 43.9% from the field and a team-best 90.5% from the free-throw line. He had five games with multiple steals and 12 double-figure scoring games, including a season-high 40-point, 10-rebound double-double against the Memphis Hustle on March 19. Christopher also played in one postseason game for the Skyforce, contributing 16 points, six rebounds, three steals, and an assist against the OKC Blue on April 5.
