Sad News: Dallas Mavericks Cut With A Huge Setback As Top Talented Fans Favorite Point Guard Player Suffers Career Ending Injury.

The Mavs confirmed that Luka Doncic was absent from the team’s second training camp day in Las Vegas due to a calf issue. Doncic’s left calf contusion from his workouts was the cause of his absence, according to Dallas, and he will undergo another evaluation in a week.

Coach Jason Kidd of the Mavericks stated, “He got hit in the calf.” They went and obtained an MRI after reporting that it was tight yesterday. In a week, we’ll reassess him to see where he stands. “At this point, there’s no concern regarding his availability,” Kidd continued. In a week, we’ll see how he feels. It’s not a good start to the preseason for the Mavs’ most potent offensive weapon, but there’s no reason to be concerned. Given that he suffered a similar injury in the preseason last year, Doncic has a history of calf strains. He was limited in playing time for the first preseason game and for the exhibition matchup with his old team, Real Madrid.

However, the problem persisted throughout the regular season, and the guard was ready for the Mavs’ season-opening victory over the Spurs, where he scored a triple-double of thirty points. Luka suffered a calf injury during the season’s final regular-season game in 2021–2022. He was absent from the first three games of Dallas’ series against Utah in the first round.

His re-evaluation timeline falls on Oct. 9, just one day before the Mavericks hosts the Jazz in the team’s second preseason game.
