Al-Quadin Muhammad’s suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances has officially been lifted, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Muhammad had been serving a six-game suspension since December.
The 29-year-old defensive end signed with the Dallas Cowboys on August 1 but was released from the team on August 29, just before the season opener against the Cleveland Browns.
Now that his suspension is over and he is eligible to return to action, Muhammad may find his way back to the Cowboys, but there is also the possibility that other teams could show interest in signing him.
Given his experience and potential to contribute on the defensive line, Muhammad may attract attention from teams in need of depth or veteran leadership. His six-game absence might have delayed his season, but now that he’s cleared to play, he could be a valuable addition to a roster looking to strengthen its defensive presence. Whether the Cowboys or another franchise decides to bring him in, Muhammad will have a chance to make an impact for the remainder of the season.
