**Golden State Warriors: Steve Kerr Discusses Concerns Over Stephen Curry Following Klay Thompson’s Exit**
The Golden State Warriors are adjusting to life without longtime star Klay Thompson, who is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks. After years of success with Thompson, the Warriors and their fans are facing a new reality. Despite this, head coach Steve Kerr is confident that Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will adapt to the change.
Thompson’s absence has been noticeable during the Warriors’ training camp and preseason, especially in the team’s lineup. Kerr acknowledged this impact but expressed no concern over how Curry and Green will perform without Thompson.
“We have to rediscover our identity because Klay was such a big part of it for the past 12 years,” Kerr told ESPN. “His absence leaves a gap, but I’m not worried about Steph and Draymond. In professional sports, you adapt and adjust.”
The Warriors are in the process of figuring out how to fill the void left by Thompson. During the offseason, the team brought in players like Buddy Hield and De’Anthony Melton, both of whom can provide the offensive spark the team needs. Kerr and the coaching staff are using the preseason to finalize their rotations.
The Warriors will begin their 2024-25 NBA season on October 23 with an away game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
