RAIDERS LATEST SIGNING REPORT: Just In Raiders Officially Announce The Signing Of Another Top Talented QB Star To Replacement Of Aidan O’Connell’s Injury.

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 20–15 on Sunday. But it wasn’t only the game they lost. Due to an injury, they also lost their starting quarterback. According to recent estimates, Aidan O’Connell will probably be sidelined for four to six weeks after breaking his thumb early in Sunday’s encounter. In light of this, Las Vegas realised they required further assistance in the interim. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Raiders signed Desmond Ridder from the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad on Monday night. In light of this, Las Vegas realised they required further assistance in the interim. Thus, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network announced on Monday night that Desmond Ridder had been signed by the Raiders from the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Ridder in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has played in 19 games since then, starting 17 of them. In that time, he has thrown 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing an even 64 percent of his throws for 3,544 yards. He has an 84.1 lifetime passer rating. Ridder has gained 257 yards on the ground as a runner. He has made 15 fumbles and scored five goals.

At the moment, we don’t know what his future role with the team will be. We do know that with O’Connell out for the foreseeable future, Las Vegas did need to add to the quarterback room. Gardner Minshew and Carter Bradley were the only other quarterbacks on the roster. Ridder will be the third.

His role could be exactly that, the third emergency quarterback. Or he could take over the backup role from Bradley. Based on Minshew’s poor performance against the Rams, Ridder might even take the starting role. For now though, he’s adding some much-needed depth at the position.
