Edmonton selected the London Knights center in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
Edmonton, Alberta Forward Sam O’Reilly has agreed to a three-year entry-level deal with the Edmonton Oilers. In June of 2024, Edmonton selected the 18-year-old centerman in the first round (32nd overall).
Before being sent back to his junior team, the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. O’Reilly had a successful rookie and training camp experience with the Oilers. He participated in four preseason games, scored one goal, and played in this year’s Young Stars Classic in Penticton.
He has two goals and three points in six games of his second full season with the Knights, bringing his total to 22 goals and 39 assists in 80 OHL games.
