Breaking: Just In Vikings Confirm The Signing Of Two Active Players For The Practice Squad For The Season.

With the opportunity to open the 2024 season 3-0 and shock the entire National Football League, the Minnesota Vikings will visit the Houston Texans at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. However, this is a squad that has injuries on both sides of the ball. For this reason, the Vikings will activate two members of their practice squad in week three. For both veteran TE Robert Tonyan and rookie OLB Bo Richter, it will be their first game day elevation this season.

Bo Richter was a fan favorite during Minnesota Vikings training camp, and the preseason, where he managed 3 tackles and 2 sacks on 86 total defensive snaps. He scored a 66.7 preseason defensive grade at PFF, including a 77.9 run defense grade.

Richter was a beast at Air Force University, particularly in 2023 as a senior, when he recorded 45 tackles, including 20 tackles for loss, which led the nation. Ten of those twenty TFLs were sacks. Richter should probably be run on early downs on Sunday in order to help halt the run.
