This weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will play their bitter rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the team’s official website states that former Pro Bowl wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and seasoned defensive lineman Mike Danna would not be playing. Smith-Schuster is battling a hamstring problem, and Danna is also dealing with a pectoral injury
.This week, the Chiefs had to deal with numerous injuries. During the week, the following players were listed on the injury report: safety Justin Reid (hand), wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee), linebacker Leo Chenal (shoulder), and running back Kareem Hunt (hip). On Sunday, everyone is playing. It would be fascinating to see how many snaps five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins receives in his first game as a Chief with Smith-Schuster sidelined.
Despite being undefeated, Kansas City hasn’t exactly been playing at their best. Throughout the season, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. All-Star tight end Travis Kelce hasn’t shared the impressive stats he usually does. It appears that injuries have decimated the rest of the offence, particularly in the wide receiver and running back rooms. While the offence is still figuring itself out, Chris Jones and company have been the team’s defensive core. Regardless of the injuries the Chiefs have suffered this season, it might be a difficult game against the Raiders, who have struggled as a team in recent years.
