Done Deal: Just In Paul Maurice Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Superstar

The Florida Panthers announced on Friday, October 25, that they have signed 19-year-old forward Hunter St. Martin to a three-year entry-level contract. St. Martin was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft at 193rd overall, following an impressive 2023-24 season with the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers, where he tallied 24 goals and 28 assists for a total of 52 points across 68 games.

In the current season, St. Martin has made a strong start with seven goals and one assist in just eight games. Over his WHL career of 152 games, he has accumulated 39 goals and 43 assists, averaging 0.54 points per game. Prior to his WHL tenure, the Edmonton native played for OHA Edmonton in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL).

During his time in the CSSHL, St. Martin posted 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in 27 games with the U15 Prep team in the 2018-19 season. As the assistant captain for the U15 Prep team in 2019-20, he scored six goals and added 11 assists for 17 points over 25 games. In the shortened 2020-21 season, he contributed one goal and three assists in just four games. With the U18 Prep team in 2021-22, he notched 10 goals and 19 assists, totaling 29 points in 26 games.

St. Martin’s entry-level contract carries a cap hit of $855,833, as reported by PuckPedia.
