As was previously mentioned, Max Pacioretty signed a PTO contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs this offseason. Pacioretty was able to participate in his first game with the team last night. It was a preseason game between the Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators, but the Leafs fell 6-5 in the end. In any case, the players who were attempting to leave an impact found success in the game. Of course, Pacioretty was one of those men by happenstance.

Pacioretty was very effective in his game, as you can see from the highlights below, scoring two goals in total. Even if a few of the goals against the Senators goalie were not very good, they are nevertheless counted. Pacioretty’s performance left Leafs supporters quite impressed, which is encouraging for his future with the team.

Elliotte Friedman actually revealed somewhat of a bombshell regarding Pacioretty’s possible future with the Leafs. There were doubts about Pacioretty’s health and his potential to play after suffering multiple injuries. But he has addressed those worries quite swiftly. Patches appears to be a true leader on this Leafs club right now, one that is aching for postseason glory.
